Datuk Khalid brings with him a wealth of over 30 years of working experience in the Malaysian Administrative and Diplomatic Services.

Datuk Khalid began his diplomatic career with the Malaysian Foreign Service in 1963 and has held many overseas postings, which includes position as First Secretary to France, Counsellor to The Netherlands, Minister Counsellor to Yugoslavia, High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, Ambassador to Poland and as Ambassador to The Netherlands prior to retirement from active service.

Datuk Khalid was the Chief of Protocol, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1984) prior to his appointment to the post of Comptroller of the Royal Household, Istana Negara in 1985.

He was also actively involved in international conferences such as the ASEAN Ministerial Meetings, the annual Non-Aligned Meetings, the Organization of Islamic Countries Conferences and the United Nations Sessions in New York, U.S.A.

By sharing his in-depth knowledge and experiences in the areas relating to protocol, Datuk Khalid aspires to inspire every corporate personnel into achieving a higher level of professional competence and confidence through proper conduct in handling themselves when dealing with a subject of ' importance ' where a working knowledge of Protocol would be their absolute   competitive advantage.
